The Tulsa Race Massacre of African Americans

Image
The Tulsa Race Massacre of African Americans During world war 1, the influence of black americans was rising in the wall street. Black neighborhoods such as the famously known Black Wall Street  of Greenwood were prospering financially. White americans were allowing this because they needed Black Americans to fight as a soldier in world war 1 on behalf of them. On 11th november of 1918 , the world war one officially ended and with this the reason for white americans to allow black americans to gain influence also ended. Now the white americans were desperate to snatch away the prosperity which the black americans gained. On May 30, 1921,  Dick Rowland, a young African American shoe shiner, was falsly accused of assaulting a white elevator operator named Sarah Page in the elevator of a building in downtown Tulsa. The next day the  Tulsa Tribune  printed a story saying that Rowland had tried to rape  Page, with an accompanying editorial stating that a...

My Lai Massacre : A tale of rapes and cold blooded killings by US Army

Image
My Lai Massacre : A tale of rapes and cold blooded killings by US Army. My Lai is a small village in Quang Nai Vietnam. US soldiers used to address this region as "Pinkville"  because of the reddish colour(meaning pro communist region) used to indicate the densely populated My Lai area on military maps.  By the time Charlie Company of the 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade, arrived in Vietnam in December 1967. “Pinkville” had earned a reputation as a heavily mined hotbed of Viet Cong activity. In January 1968 Charlie was one of three companies tasked with the destruction of the 48th Battalion, an especially effective Viet Cong unit operating in Quang Ngai province. Throughout February and early March, Charlie Company suffered dozens of casualties due to mines and booby traps, but it failed to engage the 48th Batallion. After the debacle of the broad Tet offensive, the...

Image
Raid of Surat by Marathas under the leadership of Shivaji Shivaji demanded tribute from the ruler of Surat, which was rejected by the Mughal Sardar. This angered Shivaj and he decided to attack Surat. The Mughal Sardar was very surprised by the suddenness of the attack and not willing to face the Maratha forces, he hid himself in the fort of Surat. However, there was an attempt of life on Shivaji by the emissary sent by the Mughal sardar. Surat was under attack for nearly three days, in which the Maratha army looted all possible wealth from Mughal and Portuguese trading centers. The Maratha soldiers took away cash, gold, silver, pearls, rubies, diamonds and emeralds from the houses of rich merchants such as Virji  Vora, Haji Zahid Beg, Haji Kasim and others.  The business  of Mohandas Parekh, the deceased broker of the Dutch East India Company, was spared as he was reputed as a  charitable man.Similarly.  Shivaji did not plunder the  houses of the foreign m...

Right To Recall - Citizens' weapon against corruption and bad governance

Image
Right To Recall - Citizens' weapon against corruption and bad governance What is Right To Recall? Suppose there is a maid working in your home steals your precious gold ornaments. In this case, will you allow her to work in your home for few more months and steal more of your precious things or will you just throw her away from your house and hire a new one? It's obvious that you will just throw her away from your house and hire a new one.  As per Right To Recall , this should happen in case of politicians and government officials as well. If a politicians or a government official is looting the tax money or resources of the nation them the Public shall have the right to recall that corrupt official or politician. Public shouldn't have to wait for 5 years. Right To Recall will be a weapon of the commoners against corruption. Right to recall is present at local or state level in many developed nations as well.   Some Quotes regarding the Right to Recall in Indian History P...

When Bhagat Singh was invited by Joseph Stalin

Image
When Bhagat Singh was invited by Joseph Stalin A lesser-known event from the annals of the Indian revolutionary movement is the “invitation” that was sent to Bhagat Singh by the Soviet leader, Joseph Stalin. This invite could not reach Singh, so we can only speculate about what might have happened if it had been received and accepted. There is no doubt that had it all gone as planned, it had the potential to change the course of our freedom struggle. It was Shaukat Usmani  who connected Bhagat Singh and Stalin. He was  one of the founding members of the Communist Party of India established in Tashkent in 1920. Usmani was sent to India by MN Roy to establish contact with the Indian nationalists. He came in contact with the revolutionaries through Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, the famous editor of the Hindi daily, Pratap, which was published from Kanpur in 1920s. Bhagat Singh worked as a sub-editor at Pratap. He even reviewed Usmani’s political-cum-travel memoir, Peshawar to ...

Rooftop Koreans: An example advocating for the importance of citizen ownership of firearms

Image
Rooftop Koreans: An example advocating for the importance of citizen ownership of firearms   Rooftop Koreans or Roof Koreans refer to the Korean American business owners and residents  who armed themselves and took to the rooftops of local businesses to defend themselves  during the 1992 Los Angeles riots .  The unrest in urban areas was sparked by the acquittal of four Los Angeles Police Department officers in the beating of Rodney King and resulted in rioting, and looting, along with widespread violence and arson throughout the city. For years, there had been tensions between the Los Angeles Korean community and the African American communities, including the killing of Latasha Harlins, an African-American teenager who was controversially fatally shot by a Korean-American convenience store owner who received no jail time. Following the Rodney King verdict, Los Angeles police were unable to provide protection to many affected areas due to the overwhelming scale of t...

Judiciary and the Nation

Image
Judiciary and the Nation A society or a nation progresses when it rewards the good and discourages the bad. "Anti Social Elements in human Society are the biggest obstacles to achieve principles of Dharma in true letter and spirit. This creates a situation of 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙮𝙖-𝙉𝙮𝙖𝙮𝙖(Anarchy), which means might be right.  Big Fish swallows a small one.  Thus in order to maintain the order of the society, Dand Nitis is needed, 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙉𝙞𝙩𝙞 means punishment or use of force to control Anti anti-social elements in human society and persuade them to follow the dictates of 'Dharma'. " Now, a common question that might come to your mind is-  Who will punish the bad? The answer is the judiciary. It is the duty of judiciary to punish the bad and protect the innocent.  The failure of judiciary to deliver justice will lead to anarchy or lawlessness. Criminals will commit crimes when they don't have the fear of the judiciary. Rapes happen, politicians do corrup...

How BJP use Waqf board to fuel its politics of hate despite Waqf board being a defacto government body?

Image
How BJP use Waqf board to fuel its politics of hate despite Waqf board being a defacto government body?   Recently I have been seeing many posts and discussions against the WAQF Board and their Illegal, immoral occupation of Public and Private property. But the problem with these posts is that they purposefully hide the important facts about this WAQF board.    WAQF board is a government body created through an act passed by the parliament of India. The government has the right to suspend the working of the WAQF board or even correcting its decision if they feel like it is going against its principle. The current Chairperson of the Central WAQF board is BJP=RSS Leader Smriti Zubin Irani who oversees all the actions performed by the WAQF. All the members of Central Waqf council too are BJP=RSS members.    According to the WAQF ACT 1995 the Union Minister in charge of the Central Waqf Council can through the council of ministers make rules related to the working o...

Why I do not support Modi Government?

Image
Why I do not support Modi Government? A King/leader is judged on the basis of mainly 3 things: 1) Condition of the Military. 2) Condition of the Farmers. 3) Condition of the Workers. Now let me talk about all these three one by one. And you will get the answer. 1) Condition of the Military  Powerful Militaries are those which have domestic weapon manufacturing . Modi government has not done anything to boost domestic weapon manufacturing. But Shiva, news channels and many leaderes were saying that defense exports of India are rising and india is on the path of being self reliant in defense sector. No , what you are seeing is weapons assembled in India with not all but main parts imported from Foreign nations. So it is not make in India. It is assemble in india. A lot of so called manufacturers in India are just traders or assemblers. One more thing. Modi government has increased percentage of FDI in defense sector from 49 percent to 75 percent. Which means MNCs companies will be pa...

Is homesexuality consistent with hindu teachings?

Image
Is homosexuality consistent with hindu teachings? Hinduism teaches and expects its followers to observe a moral code of conduct. Because marriage is a union between a man and a woman as spouses, as recognized by the social system of the time. It is not validated by the Vedas. Marriage is a sacred relationship that cannot be redefined according to our convenience. Any definition of marriage in Hinduism need to be validated by the Vedas, which are considered the verbal testimony since they are an eternal aspect of God and represent the highest truth. The Vedas recognize the marriage between a man and a woman only. Such a marriage may happen either with or without consent , but the relationship is always between a man and woman, never between people of the same-sex. Even the Asuras (demons), who break all the rules, do not participate in same-sex relationships. According to the Vedas, a marriage is a sacred bond between two individual souls, born on earth as a male and a female to p...

Was Ravan Great or not?

Image
Nowadays, the demon king Ravan is being glorified a lot by the Pakahandis. A section of society has even started worshiping him by portraying him as a great scholar. But is this all true?  Let us see from the evidence of Valmiki Ramayan. Was Ravan a devotee of Shiva?  The biggest misconception that has been spread about Ravan is that he was a devotee of Shiva. He had composed Shivtandavastrotram. This is not true. Ravan was not a devotee of Shiva. Nor had he composed any stotram. There is a complete description of Ravan's palace and his city of Lanka in Sunderkand of Valmiki Ramayana. In this description, we get the smallest information about Lanka, but there is no description of whether there is a Shiva temple in Lanka. In fact, calling Ravan a devotee of Shiva was the propaganda of Vaishnavas. Through this, they wanted to convey the message that Shiva devotees are sinners like Ravan. The rumor of Ravan's devotion to Shiva has become popular through medieval Puranas. Was Rava...

Problems in Real Estate sector and its possible solution

Image
In this article, we will discuss about Indian Real Estate Sector. However, it's obvious that real estate sector around the world is facing more or less similar issues. Problems in the real estate sector include: Rising prices : Continuous and exponential rise in the price of real estate has made it unaffordable or hard to afford for common people and small businesses in many parts of the nation. Inefficient use of Land : A large amount of land is lying empty because of its unaffordability or because of its owners wanting to earn more profits in future. This land does not add any value to the society or to the national economy and it often hampers the Industrialization of the nation. The reasons behind these problems include: Over-Financialization : Over-financialization in the real estate sector has led to its commodification of it. Land is being treated as a commodity to earn huge profits instead of a social property. An influx of huge sums of money by investors has resulted in it...
